Thank you VERY much!!! mkv's wont play on ANYTHING and I cant figure out why people keep using it since smart tv makers, console makers and tablet makers all have said time and again they will not nor will they ever add support for mkv only mp4. Plex wont even play mkv natively because no device supports it. So, THANK YOU for the mp4 and keep them coming!!
mkv is a superior format, so is x265. A 400mb x265 video is miles better in quality than others. Literally any device can play any format except TVs, consoles or multimedia players(useless boxes)

I've only been able to get 1 out of 20 mkv's to play on my xboxone. Its way too picky about them.

My Xbox One - Plex combo hasn't an issue with any MKVs in my collection. The computer hosting doesn't have the power to on-the-fly conversion either.

Not at all true, my android Kyocera smart phone refuses to play mkv and rar files. 3gp and mp4 are the only formats that seem to work.
