I was having some weird laggy-ness and crashing issues on 12, which is why I changed to 13. Everything is basically the same. Same project files. You may have to rebuild the audio for some files but everything else was basically seamless. I think its worth the change.

this is really late and i don't know if you still care about this thread, but I tried this after finally getting over my old edit software not rendering past 30fps and a bunch of other issues.

I heard all these great things about sony vegas, but I saw the price and immediately gave up on it.

Then someone gave me a link to this thread and I thought this is great, i can finally have a good editing software.

After opening the .rar the link it has is no longer available (probably taken down by sony or something).

If you know any other way I could get this software without paying the huge fee, it would really be great man/woman/non-binary gender fluid sentient organism.

AS it so happens, I actually removed the old download and re-uploaded and posted on this sub to include a link to 12 and 13. I would recommend 13 unless you have major issues, in which case I would then use 12.

Whenever I tried to run the keygen, it says Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item. I made sure that I was admin and that I had full access. I tried four times and I still get the same message. I would appreciate any help.

Hmm. I'm not sure. Does it ever launch? Try going to the actual application in C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 13 and right click on the exacutable and change the comparability mode to Windows Vista and check the Run as Admin box and let me know what happens. If that doesn't work, let me know and I can see what I can do.

And you followed all of the instructions exactly and didn't launch the program before it said too or restart during the process and you tried the compatibility mode option that I recommended?

If not, I may be able to remote into your computer (if you feel comfortable with that. I'd prefer you where present the entire time) and see what I can do.

I can also post Sony Vegas Pro 12 and you can give that a try.

I am having some trouble typing in the Authorization code. Whenever I type it in it says it is wrong and to try again, but i keep trying and generating codes to no avail.

Try just copying the actual codes to avoid errors. Also I believe the code is longer than the application it is displayed on. So when you copy it you have to drag your mouse past the application to the right to get all of it.

Does that make sense?

Basically all Keygen will do that. They get flagged that way because generally, Keygens are...less than legal. I just reinstalled it again yesterday and it worked fine.
