I probably should have come back to this thread and said this. Same exact thing happened to me. I just thought I was too lazy to figure out how to get it to work.
you have two options, 1) reinstall with antivirus turned off 2) white listing folder/directory where madmax installed. good luck.
what do you mean your antivirus went off immediately ?
your antivirus removed that dll or steam file from that folder thinking that it is virus/malware (most cracked games are false positives.)
