I have the DVD for this and was wondering if the 1080p was a good re-master or if it is just a typical up-conversion that amounts to more pixels but not really more definition.

Blu-ray.com always tends to have great reviews of just the blu-ray releases. In this case, it's apparently really well done, kept the film feel of it while improving the quality - http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Fight-Club-Blu-ray/5587/#Review (at least for the 10th anniversary version)

Hey, thanks a lot! One of my favorite movies ever, practically wore out the DVD. Will certainly DL this and if it holds up will probably buy the actual blu ray.
