[QUESTION] What does the ISP see we upload/download? | Megalinks MegaDB [QUESTION] What does the ISP see we upload/download?

I know the storage area is encrypted, but what does the ISP see when file transfer commences? Does the HTTPS protect you or can they see the filename in question?

https encrypts the stream. Your isp will only see your address on the network and Mega's destination address. You can be more anonymous by signing up for a good vpn service that doesn't maintain logs ,then use that vpn service to open an anonymous e-mail acount, use that e-mail account to register on mega and only access those accounts through your vpn service.

In the future, this belongs in /r/Mega, not /r/megalinks.

if it is encrypted, most likely the only thing the ISP will see is a large amount of data headed somewhere (wherever the servers are).. they won't be able to see what is being transferred, only that something is being transferred
