If you're at a university who closely monitors your downloads, would they be able to detect that this was a movie I was downloading? Or would all they see is just a file being downloaded?

Make sure you connect with https, and then all they'll see is traffic.

This is happening to me too. Despite reaching 100% half an hour ago, it still says downloading and hasn't changed to downloaded...

EDIT: Oops, just had to log out of MEGA and it worked perfectly.

When mine got to 100%, a download box appeared at the bottom and began loading. It said "0 of 2.5 gb" then quickly went to 2.5 gb of 2.5 gb downloaded (took 2 minutes). Then the actual .rar file was in my downloads folder.

I would say it's safer. It's harder to control this kind of traffic and you may not even break a law. It's legal in some countries (I think Sweden) while uploading isn't (which you do when you torrent).

This works by the way. I had to clear my cache and cookies and it still froze up twice (about halfway through). Finally it got done on the third try. I've never really rated quality before, but I'd say this one is 7/10 video and a little better on the audio.
