dont use vlc it cant play 7.1 channel for audio

What do you recommend me using? The default win10 player doesn't seem to want to play sounds either.

i recommend potplayer bcus it lets you have a ton of options and i like to speed up video to 1.2-1.5 during shows/movies thats not much action and i dont think u can do that in mpc. both are good

try MPC-HC or potplayer both are really great with in built codec and can run hevc fluently
