If I create a bunch of mega accounts with throw away emails and share out links do I have to log in to them every so often to “keep them alive” or can I just set and forget about them?

I would create a gmail like [email protected] and make as many accounts as you can by adding periods anywhere in the email. Gmail will send all emals to the original account. So if you create a MEGA account using [email protected] and [email protected], emails for both accounts will be recieved on the original gmail account.
This way, you won't ever have to worry about them being "unable to contact you using the email address in your account details" as you will only ever have to check one account.

Dumb Question, but do you recommend a particular method for me getting Megalinks onto DVDs that have a main menu for my dad to select an episode? he has one of those tvs with built in DVD and im trying to make him his happy days DVDs.
A dummy question: I downloaded a x265 file and try to play it with my Sony bluray player via usb but it says that the file is corrupted. Then I downloaded a x264 and it played just fine. So does that means my player doesn’t support x265? Thanks.

Can someone explain to me how the quality would be if I were to take a 10gb x264 file (1080p) and a 4gb x265 (1080p) file? How would the video look? Is the x264 going to be better because of the file size?

generally speaking ya 10 gb x264 looks better than 4 gb x265 but not by much and you wont notice any significant difference unless you watch on an 4k screen or the encode is shitty

Hope this isn't a dumb question - are people gonna be all over high bit Westworld Blu-rips when that drops, or are the AMZN copies good enough for people?
Personally I always go for blu-ray rip because I gif and giffers always go for the highest quality we can get. Especially when adding a lot of curves/selective colors/coloring to the gif.

I know but the AMZN rips are already super high bit rate 1080p. Anyway, I've been up all night making video game gifs, at least experimenting with it.
Usually if it's a fairly new series I will settle for lower quality.
That is cool! What's your method for getting the gif ready? I like cutting to the scene I want in VLC and import video frames to layers in PS.

Uhh so far I've been using FRAPS for in game capture, then processing it into mp4 with Sony Vegas (multiple cuts, viewpoints, text overlays) and then uploading to gfy hosting
Oh man, you should try photoshop's timeline sometime. It would save you a ton of work. Just load the files into a stack (screencaps) and go.

In my experience, there's always an audience for something you have. I'm content with my Westworld copies, but I've not actually watched the show yet. I guarantee someone will be excited about the BD rips.
That said, I'll leave the other responses to people more interested in the show than I am, because I know it's easy to say someone wants it, but uploading it is way more work.

I'm having problems with JD2 not downloading large files. When I visit the link in firefox, I get a message about not having enough memory to download the file. I believe JD2 is also getting this and erroring out.
I recently migrated to a new VM for downloads, but I know I saw this on my old VM and problem was resolved by clicking the "don't show me this again" button in a browser and then JD2 was fine. Problem is, my browser isn't showing that skip dialog anymore. Any suggestions on what I can do for this?
Is the Mozilla Firefox extension not work correctly or is it just me? It says something about Firefox's buffer not being big enough and to use the mega downloaded app.
Stranger Things S2 is going to release today. Since it is a popular show, it should have a mega thread where everyone posts instead of singular post for each episode and hogging up the subreddit, imo. Or would that make take down easier?

It would. Someone has to manage the mega thread too, checking torrents and updating the links. Let's see, if the number of indiviual ep posts gets out of hand, I'll consolidate all the links and create a mega thread.
I can't play some x264. They completely lock up my VLC. I can barely move my mouse and it takes minutes to stop VLC.
Is there something wrong with my settings?

i know its not a solution but i advise that you switch from VLC to MPC-HC i switched 4 years back and with some external filters mpc hc is all i need for x264 to x265 files even the ones with 7.1 audios.

I've never heard about an ISP caring about Mega yet but you never know. That being said, you'd need VPN to circumvent blocking on the server side anyway once you exceed the daily usage, which any random file could do since it's a dynamic limit.
