Disgusting movie. Please don't watch it if you don't have a strong stomach. It's gonna affect you mentally and physically.
I saw the movie a few years ago years ago, and it didn't traumatize me. I guess I have been desensitized from watching a lot of horror movies?
Or maybe people make too big a deal about this movie... probably because of the sexual aspects -- e.g., rape of an animatronic baby (nothing explicit is shown, but people's imaginations take over, and they think they saw something worse than what was actually shown).
I have to say, though, this is well-made movie with a good script. It's not just some mindless gorefest -- there is an actual plot.
I am a fond of horror movies but your argument has nothing to do with that. How can you say that "people make too big deal about this movie" ? It's completely big deal sorry not sorry. The idea of the movie, the actors, producer and every single workers are sick. This movie and everything about it is illness. If you say this is well-made movie, then you should go to hospital immediately.
"Well made" has to do with the quality of the production and not the level of offensiveness. A Serbian Film is well made. Birdemic: Shock and Terror is an example of a movie that is not well made. It's about the craft of film making, not the content of the movie. Even if you dislike what the movie is about, you can respect the quality of the film. Good art is sometimes offensive.

This movie was brutal.
Don't know, man.
Sure it was fucked up, but nothing much happened for the first half. Then it got fucked up, but it was only really fucked up at the end, with the twist and all.
But even then my gf and I looked at each other and we both thought "Is that it? Sure it was fucked up, but that was very overhyped"
