Since people seem to be confused: Yes, every single movie in this pack has Japanese audio at the very least. Most have more than just Japanese, hence the "MULTI-AUDIO" portion of the title.

My 10 year old daughter just had her appendix removed, which complicated her T1D. She loves the book version of Howl's Moving Castle, and has been asking about the movie for a few weeks.

Thanks to you, she'll be watching it tomorrow.

bonkai77's encodes are always top notch.

This does include the recent long overdue English dub for Only Yesterday. The only Studio Ghibli film that doesn't have an English dub for whatever reason is Ocean Waves.

Not familiar with those encodes, but the size should be closer to 10-15 GB for full quality on Ghibli films, especially the older ones with film grain. THORA and REVO have done good rips of many of them.

Why is each movie file split into 10 pieces in mega? How do you fix that?

Because it's easier for me to upload to MEGA and Zippyshare at the same time on my limited connection than to upload the same thing twice, so I split the files into 200 MB archives. You can extract them with the tools mentioned in the opening

permalink

[-] bringer1111 | 1 points | Aug 10 2017 12:18:27

Thanks, What I did was download a whole folder, then just extract one file like 001 from it with 7zip and then it seems like it gave me the whole movie.

permalink

[-] ecchh | 3 points | Aug 10 2017 15:14:01

That's the trick!

permalink

[-] MyWordIsBond | 1 points | Aug 10 2017 22:04:55

Sorry, what is the trick specifically?

Used 7zip and extracted, still in multiple files that don't play

permalink

[-] ecchh | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 01:35:26

You should only have one file after 7zip is finished extracting them. Only extract from the .001 file ad the rest should be extracted automatically.

permalink

[-] Seesyounaked | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 14:52:46

Wasn't as simple for me. I had to extract all the parts, then use 7zip to combine the extracted files into one.

permalink

[-] Seesyounaked | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 14:41:30

I'm in the same boat. I've extracted in a couple different ways and can't figure out how to get a playable file.

permalink

[-] Seesyounaked | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 14:52:08

Never mind I figured it out.

I had to extract the files, so I had a folder with all the parts. Then, open up 7 zip by itself and navigate to that folder. You can then right click on the first file and choose "Combine". It will then combine the file into one within another folder. I couldn't edit or mess with the file in that folder, so I moved it to my desktop and was able to rename as well as play the vid.

Hope this helps!

permalink

[-] Dyltone | 2 points | Aug 11 2017 03:43:24

I used megadownloader for the full pack. 3 and 19 will not unpack - all others appear fine and I've spot tested for playback on several of the unpacked files and they all work. Not sure what happened with those two, but thanks for the working ones.

[-] anjumrm | 3 points | Aug 11 2017 02:39:13

I think that is the issue. All these movies downloaded using megasync turn out to be corrupt (CRC failed). Works fine if you download using the standard download option.

some of them like castle in the sky extract to another 7z then I get a "can not open file as an archive" error, is there something extra I need to do?

permalink

[-] ecchh | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 17:06:30

I'm not sure why it's extracting to multiple 7z files, it shouldn't... that's very strange. I just tested it myself with no issue. I downloaded the files with JDownloader and then extracted the mutli-part archive from the .7z.001 file succesfully.

This user has found a solution that seems to work in your case

permalink

[-] domain101 | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 21:28:33

I'm having the same problem with 03. The 7z archive series extracts fine, which results in a single .7z file: bonkai7703._Laputa_Castle_in_the_Sky | Megalinks MegaDB 03._Laputa_Castle_in_the_Sky19861080p | Megalinks MegaDB 1080pDUAL-AUDIOMULTI-SUBS | Megalinks MegaDB MULTI-SUBSHEVCx265 | Megalinks MegaDB x26510bit.7z

But when trying to extract that, or open it, I get the following errors:

 • 7Zip: Can not open file '...7z' as archive (I abbreviated the full filename)
 • WinRAR: Warning: No archives found

Tried renaming to .zip and .rar, just in case, but no luck. Also tried renaming to .mkv, as all the other packs extracted the .mkv on the first extraction, but that file doesn't play.

Any other ideas? Should mention, I used MegaDownloader, and all other files worked great!

permalink

[-] ecchh | 1 points | Aug 11 2017 21:47:27

That's very strange, it shouldn't extract as a 7z file at all, it should just extract as an .mkv file or a file in a folder. Perhaps try downloading it through your browser, or use JDownloader to do so. I downloaded that one myself to verify its integrity and I didn't have these same issues, so I'm pretty vexed at what exactly is going on here.. The only thing that makes sense to me is the file was corrupted during download perhaps. Are you using 7zip to extract the archives?

[-] domain101 | 2 points | Aug 11 2017 22:04:18
