[Help] How to fix a video that was incompletely downloaded? | Megalinks MegaDB [Help] How to fix a video that was incompletely downloaded?

There's an episode of a show I downloaded that's missing a few seconds in the middle. In VLC and Windows Media Player, the video will stop playing at a certain timestamp. However, skipping past that point by a few seconds lets the rest of the video play. There's a chunk around 10 seconds long that, when skipped to, causes the player to error.

Assuming that this was an error during downloading the file and that it wasn't already like that, is there a way to force Mega Downloader or any other application to download only the missing chunk? Or should the entire file be redownloaded?

Thanks

Edit: okay I think I managed to find a solution that worked;

I found a torrent of the same file and put the incomplete one in the download directory. I rechecked the torrent so it would recognize the downloaded portion, and the missing bits got downloaded. Hooray!

Yeah, incomplete download, you need to redownload the file (or the file is corrupt).

If you using IDM or any other download manager then you just might be in luck. Get the new download address and replace with the old one then try resuming it, should work most of the time. :)

Mega Downloader will do this a lot, you need to set it to 1 connection per file to avoid it.

Did you msg the OP the timestamp of the error?
