The size of these games is getting so ridiculous. It's as if they don't even care anymore. How can a wrestling game be over 7 times the size of Skyrim?

Texture packs, audio files, cinematics. Skyrim lacked cinematics and had lower quality textures as well. But i get you, this games almost twice the size of WWE 2K15 and 4gb bigger than 2K16
Uncompressed audio and video usually are the cause.

That's what I meant with lazy. They managed to get everything on CDs, DVDs and BluRay, but it's so annoying to buy a game on Steam and then you have to wait several hours to play it (and then to download another patch that's 8 gb). I mean, even with all the cinematics or whatever, the size is a joke for a game that's basically centered around a ring.
PS: Not complaining about the upload, just the companies. Maybe they use it as some kind of anti-piracy tool ;)

Yeah true. Watch dogs 2 and far cry primal are both half the size of this game and they both are huge and better visually

Downloaded 2K16 a while back excited to play as the last WWE game I had played was Smackdown v Raw 2008. Was let down so hard. I wanted to play the game solely for career mode which I absolutely loved in SvR 08. Played out like the tv show where you had dynamic dialouge and different storylines and cutscenes.
In 2k16 however, all there is to career mode is matches and more matches. No story, no character.

Everything That's Wrong With WWE 2K15's My Career Mode - Exact same issues with 2k16 and 17. Do watch this video, fairly entertaining.
If you're simply looking to fight/wrestle, go for it. If you're getting it for career mode, I wouldn't get it.

Career mode sucks. But if u make ur own universe mode and make your own characters and own shows and stuff. It actually isn't that bad.
