[META] Shared accounts adds up to the free 50 gB quoata?? | Megalinks MegaDB [META] Shared accounts adds up to the free 50 gB quoata??

Recently I've noticed getting "You've exceeded your storage limit..." message. I was wondering how was that possible because I had only used 6 GB in that account. Then, on opening Mega in my Desktop browser, I noticed that the shared accounts are using up 1 TB. Will this have any impact on my main account (even though that account isn't using more than 50GB of storage) ?

Edit: Quota | Megalinks MegaDB Edit: Quota*

No they are now limiting how much "free BW" they have for free users & stop you for like 6 hours from downloading again, but you can get around it with
http://www.mipony.net/en/download.php
I can run out using a browser then download all day with Mipony it's a download manager & it has a browser in it.It logs into your mega file 3 times while downloading it & it maxes me out

Wow it's cool it also has an app for Android! Thanks for the share. I will try it out soon. Hope it has no issues with folder links like megadownloader has :)

there is a simpler way to get around the bandwidth limit , use megadownloader and if need be , IDW

links :

http://internetdownloadmanager.com/

search around on reddit , there was a guide about using the two in conjunction , i cant find it now im afraid :(

edit : found the links ! wasnt reddit after all....

What is the purpose of using IDM aswell? I can't tell why it's needed from that guide. And Megadownloader works fine without it.

there was another guide that i had followed in the recent past which described a procedure to use both programs to bypass any and all restrictions.
truth be told I only use megadownloader myself and as you said , it works fine . IDM is a nifty little origin and of itself though and it does seem to speed up downloads. not to mention it integrates with your browser and allows you to download from various tube sites 😀

IDM speeds up your download. There are times when I get 1.6mbps on megadownloader but if I use IDM to download the same file, I get around 8-9mbps.
