edit: | Megalinks MegaDB edit: to get it to work, the 5 missing files need to exist. They're in the game, but they need to be renamed. ENDgame_FEMALE_A.bk2 exists as ENDgame_FEMALE_A_RU.bk2. Just remove the _RU from the names of the 5 files and you're good to go.

Couldn't get it to work. Just plays the garage scene with the power armor when new game is selected. Fresh Win 10 install, latest video card drivers.

Only indicated problem during the 2-fucking-hour-long install was that 5 files were missing. ENDgame_FEMALE_A.bk2, and 3 similarly named files, as well as Intro.bk2.

Tried different video settings, windowed mode, borderless, nothing.

Finally getting around to downloading this - appreciate the edit for the workaround

Workaround didn't work for me. Just a heads up.

Interesting. I'll report back if I figure it out

Please do. Maybe I just missed a step but I didn't think there was anything to do after fixing those files. Iit took me like 8 $*%& hours and now I can't play. I'd almost buy the game but then I'd REAAALLLY be pissed if it didn't work.

So what specifically is it not doing? I had to set it to windowed mode, as well.

Actually I forgot I wasn't running a 64bit OS and I don't' have one handy to do a reinstall so I haven't been able to try it. That was probably the issue. Thanks for the reply

After running the fix it still says it can't run on the version of windows I'm running. Any ideas? I renamed the 5 files and even re-ran the check. Am I missing something?

The way a lot of people have been running it is just re-using an old drive with a new install of unactivated | Megalinks MegaDB unactivated or cracked windows 10, and only give it internet access while installing. No way is it a good idea to trust this software, no need to give it access to anything it doesn't need.

Is it worth the hassle vs just buying it? Admittedly not, but I'm glad to have kept the money out of the hands of whoever s responsible for this abortion of a game with the name of Fallout.

Yeah I may just buy it. It's already down to like 28 bucks at walmart so I've quit messing with it. It wasn't worth it. Appreciate the response though.

Any idea why the setup program wants to get online and download additional files?

I've already created a dedicated windows install on an old HDD. What other additional precautions would you take?

It wanted to install directx 9 SDK update and a bunch of other directx stuff, and a couple of different Visual C++
