I do not believe Mega.nz is being taken down, basically a large portion of the company is now owned by one of china's most wanted mob members and the original creator Kim dotcom has no shares in the company so he cannot promise that it will always hold to it's original goal. It also sounds like the company itself may be in financial trouble. All in all it's not down or going down yet but if you have good stuff in the cloud you should back it up. As for if it actually does go down I think we should work as a community to find a new way for us to safely share files and I am currently looking into other options.

Stayed true to your UN. I've not really gone to depending on those sites other than downloading stuff. I used megaupload back in the day to store stuff and when that went down...Thanks though. Kim Dotcom keeps doing it right though. Hopefully his brainchild manages to stay afloat this time.

I noticed Mega has an IP address log (going back to 2015) of every time you sign on which is really worrisome. If their servers were ever seized...argh!!! Even without billing info, the files could be traced back to you. Mega = government honeypot
